Children of freedom
In Galatians 3, Paul speaks of Isaac and Ishmael and likens them to the two covenants: one at mt Sinai and the other through Jesus. The former he compares to slavery, or an heir that is not of age, who is servant to his father. The latter he calls free and compares it to an heir of age, that owns all that his father possesses. We, therefore, are no longer slaves to the law but grown adults who know the law but also understand the Spirit behind that law and have the authority of our father to live freely over this world.
