Immanuel

In Isa 7, the prophecy is given to king Ahaz that one would be born who would be called “Immanuel,” meaning “God with us.” This was given as a sign that Israel would not be overtaken and that those who oppose Israel will be lost to time. It was a word of encouragement to build the kings faith that God would protect them.
