In Luke 18, Jesus gives a parable of a poor women seeking justice. She repeatedly approaches a wicked judge who ultimately sees to her case simply to get her off his back. Jesus then poses “how much more likely than a wicked judge is God to prioritize the case of a persistent righteous person.” We have God’s ear if only we remain in it.
One such example of this is in Joshua 14. After having seen the land and giving a good report, Caleb - 45 years later - boldly asks for his land. Despite his age, he knows that God has promised it to him and, therefore, runs in and slays the giants before him claiming it as his inheritance.
We should strive for this patience, faith, and persistence.
