The Beast

The beast has seven heads - to represent the seven mountains, which represents the continents - with 10 horns and 10 crowns, one on each horn. Each head had a blasphemous name (Rev 13). All of the nations follow the beast. The beast was given a mouth and allowed to speak pride, blasphemous words for 42 months (3.5 years). The beast will be seen and worshiped as God by all except those who love God and keep his commandments (Rev 20).

A second beast comes forth, having two horns (“like a lamb”) but which speaks like a dragon. This is the false prophet (Rev 13).

The beast is the “Messiah,” the false prophet is “Jesus.” While neither are true, that will be the understanding of most in the world. Jews will be looking for the Beast, Christians for the false prophet, and Muslims for both.

After the 42 months, the Abomination of Desolation will occur. Jesus warns about this in Matt 24 and tells the true believer immediately run to the mountains as soon as this occurs. It is at this point that things get really bad. The bible says this is worse than it has ever been or will ever be; that means this will beat out the holocaust, the gladiators, crucifixions, World Wars, the crusades, the Flood - it’s going to be bad.
