Hebrews 11 is known as the “Hall of faith.” It describes the lives of several notable characters in the book of Genesis (the first book of the Bible): Abel, Enoch, Noah, Abraham, Isaac, Israel, Joseph, Moses, and the children of Israel (by way of their faith in leaving Egypt, Jericho) and how they exemplified faith. All of them looked forward to the promises of God and considered the earth to be a temporary rest stop on their way to heaven. The author of Hebrews, having just finished talking about sticking to it and avoiding deliberate sin at all costs, furthers his point by stating that each of them finished their lives in a way that demonstrated faith.

[! important] One thing we need to distinguish here is belief vs faith. They are different!
