Book of life

refine In Psalms 69, we see David ask God to remove horrible people from the book of life. I personally take this to mean that the “default” state is that all were written in that book. After our first sin, we are removed, only to be rewritten in the book once we repent and return to God. To me, this answers the question of whether the lost are saved as well as whether children go to heaven with a resounding “yes.” There is an asterisk on the lost, though: if they were exposed to their sin - that is, they knew that they sinned - then they owe the price for that sin: death.
